TOWERING TCHAIKOVSKY
Russian conductor Leonid Grin leads the CSO in a work from his homeland, Tchaikovsky's emotional Fifth Symphony, with its changing moods, intense climaxes and one of the finest horn solos in the symphonic literature. The brilliant young American violinist Tai Murray performs Barber's unabashedly romantic concerto, a work saturated with warmth and joy.
